Crafted Calm

Who we are.

Crafted Calm is a creative wellbeing initiative built around a simple idea: making something with your hands can create space to slow down, connect, and experience a meaningful sense of accomplishment.

Through thoughtfully designed, hands-on workshops, we bring creativity and wellbeing together to create experiences that encourage connection, mindfulness, self-expression, and meaningful engagement.

Our approach has been shaped by experience in mental health and community settings, and our vision is to bring Crafted Calm workshops to a wider range of spaces — from healthcare and community organizations to workplaces and corporate teams.

Our workshops are launching soon. Leave your contact information below to be among the first to hear when Crafted Calm workshops become available.

The person behind the pieces

Meet Ebubekir Haspolat.

Founder & workshop facilitator

While facilitating creative activities in mental health settings, Ebubekir saw how building and painting a small wooden project could make room for focus, conversation and a sense of accomplishment. Those experiences inspired Crafted Calm.

His aim is to bring that spirit to Cambridge: a welcoming place to slow down, make something with your hands and connect with the people around you.

Our experience

Creativity, connection and care.

Crafted Calm was developed by a Spiritual Care Practitioner, with an emphasis on making space for reflection, self-expression and connection through hands-on creativity.

Crafted Calm has been delivered at St. Joseph's Health Care London's Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health. In the post shared here, the organization describes Crafted Calm and Pray and Paint as eight-week specialty group programs involving arts-based spiritual care.

The post shares positive feedback from patients across these programs, who described the experience as rewarding, calming and meditative. It highlights the value of patience, persistence, reflection and connection.

This reference shares the program's background and reported experiences. It does not imply hospital endorsement of our upcoming public workshops.

Shared by St. Joseph's Health Care London. The post describes both Pray and Paint and Crafted Calm; the feedback relates to the programs together.Read original post on Facebook

More than something to take home.

Our workshops are designed to offer opportunities for:

A moment to slow down
Focusing on one piece, brushstroke or small step at a time can make room for a quieter, more present experience.
Personal expression
Choosing colours and making something in your own way offers a creative space to explore ideas and reflect.
Shared connection
Making alongside others creates opportunities for conversation, encouragement and a shared sense of purpose.
A sense of accomplishment
Working through small challenges and seeing a model take shape offers a chance to practise patience and celebrate progress.

Everyone's experience is different. These are creative wellbeing opportunities, not promised clinical outcomes or a substitute for professional care.
